Manuel Rendon, an engineer at Timeplast, confirmed that creating the additive was challenging. He said that Timeplast performed over 1200 experiments in a five-year period to come up with the additive. Rendon is excited that Waiakea Water has been with the company all through and that Waiakea will be the first company to launch the bottles incorporating the additive.
